Unable to forget her first love, Félicité, a simple and kind maid, devotes herself completely to her new master, Mathilde Aubain. As the passing of time doesn’t heal her wounds, she gives love to all those who surround her: Mathilde’s children, her nephew Victor. But fate seems to always deny her from any love in return. Still she tries to find someone who’ll accept her unconditional love.

Dunya and Desie are two 18 year old best friends from Amsterdam North. Dunya is Moroccan and Desie is Dutch. On Dunya’s Birthday she is told that her marriage has been arranged with a distant cousin in Morocco. Dunya and her family will travel to Morocco to meet him. After Desie discovers that she is pregnant she joins Dunya in Morocco in a search for Desies father.

Based on a manga by Saso Akira, the film caters to a high school or older audience, marked by the frequent addition of profanity, nudity, and scenes of (mostly attempted) sex. It is an unexpectedly dark film, with infrequent scenes of comedy that may make you chuckle, but not laugh. Ain’t No Tomorrows is not the most likable film out there, but it is not completely dissatisfying. It is a film that succeeds in establishing itself as unique and apart from the typical teenage drama, but feels like a surface film–one that should not be thought too deeply about.
