Anthony Yaar? – 2009

Anthony Yaar? (English: Who is Anthony?) is a 2009 Tamil language film starring Shaam and Mallika Kapoor in the lead roles. Anthony (Shaam) is an orphan who grows up in a church situated in a coastal village near Tuticorin. The local priest (Rajesh) is his benefactor. Anthony is loving and caring towards the local fishermen and their families who are being exploited by the rowdy Michael (Lal).

Chandram (Srikanth) is a cab driver and a honest man. His wife is Kalyani (Meera Jasmine). They are a childless couple. When Kalyani gets tested positive for pregnancy, the doc tells him that she needs to be operated to avoid complications. The operation would cost around 8 lacs. Being a middle class man, Chandram doesn’t have that much money. That is when he comes across an accident on railway track where the body of an unidentified woman is found. He also finds a bag with lots of money beside the corpse. his friend advise him to tell the cops that the dead woman is his wife. He gets the postmortem done and manages the cops and doctor. He finds out that the dead girl is Ramya (Sada). Parents of Ramya come to know about it and ask chandram to do the final rites as they thought that he is her husband (she elopes from house with her boyfriend). The story takes turn when Ramya returns at the time of last rites.

Achchamundu Achchamundu – 2009

Senthil Kumar (Prasanna) and Malini (Sneha) are a happily married couple in New Jersey, living life like any other born-in-India, arrived-in-the-US couple do. He submerges himself in the office and eats sambhar rice at home and she never misses a bhajan at the temple and shops at Indian stores. They have a daughter Rithika (Akshaya Dinesh), 5 years old, the apple of their lives (their car’s registration number carries the name of their daughter.) They have just settled down in a new, spacious home about which Malini, understandably, has fears. The couple squabble amicably about everything from her perpetual laundry and cooking; while Senthil argues with friends about the significance of viboothi (holy ash, usually applied on forehead) and takes his family on weekend trips and birthday parties. It is a normal, happy life in the US until Robertson (John Shea) arrives, to paint the basement. Now, things are never the same at home again.
