Prabhakaran travels all the way from Tamil Nadu to Kolkata for a purpose. He takes up a job in a college and meets Aishwarya. He also comes across Paro in Kolkata and they end up falling head over heels in love with each other. Meanwhile, there is a group in the look out for Prabhakaran at the behest of Eswara Pandian and his son. The ensuing sequence of events results in Prabhakaran revealing his true face through a flashback and there begin the twists and turns, which also unravels a sibling story with underworld background.

La Traviata – 2011

Renée Fleming has matured into one of the finest sopranos around at the moment, a true star with a sparkling personality and a velvet-toned voice that is capable of wringing the finest emotions out of works by Strauss and Tchaikovsky that from a lesser singer could sound rather cold and clinical. I wouldn’t have thought her voice would be so well suited to Violetta Valéry in La Traviata, and it does take some getting used to, but I think she at least brings a distinct quality to the role with an emotional heart that isn’t always necessarily there when a leading diva uses it primarily as a display for her vocal talents. It’s served well also by Antonio Pappano’s conducting of the Royal Opera House Orchestra in a traditional, but effective production by Richard Eyre.

The Wiggles: Ukulele Baby! – 2011

The Wiggles have set sail on a new adventure with the sweet sound of ukuleles and paln trees in the distance. Set on an island near Wiggle Bay, The Wiggles have launched twenty-one new songs and paddled into a harbour of hits including You Can Play the Ukulele, Hawaiin Boogie and Hula, Hula Baby. There’s a band on the island: Peter from Mental as Anything on mandolin, Nicolina on the accordion, George on bouzouki and Murray joins them on the ukulele. Of course, The Wiggles sing about things children love in teh songs When I’m Painting, My Curly Sue Doll and Everybody Loves a Puppy. There are songs about dancing such as Round and Round, Round and Round and Henry’s Spinning, and then the usual Wiggle fun in Cluck, Cluck City and How Many You Want? Together with songs about The Wiggles characters, Ukulele Baby! will surely be a family favourite!
